Wednesday’s forecast looks promising: high in the mid-50s, low at right around freezing. Not too shabby for the second Wednesday of December (knock on wood). Take that with a grain of salt, of course. This is Colorado after all, and I’m no weatherman.
The first day of winter isn’t officially until Dec. 22. But if you’re like me, visions of winter are easily conjured.
I envision horizontal blizzards, bone-chilling cold and weather bleak enough to send me packing south. Pueblo maybe?
It is no secret that winter has come to Fort Collins. However, cold weather and short days don’t mean commuters need to put away their bicycles for the season.
While winter cycling may take a little extra preparation, it is well worth the effort. Proper clothing and accessories can make a world of difference in a bicyclist’s comfort level in cold weather.
